Concrete Jungle where dreams are made









It's midnight. You're 86 floors up.

The whole of New York City, and in fact pretty much all of New York state, is spread out below you.

You can see several somethings flitting across your view - lit up like a plane, but too fast. Eventually you realise they are swallows - they are completely illuminated by the lights from the building that they glow however far out they fly.

Taxis and people are visible on the street below. The whole thing feels a bit like you are viewing it on a screen. It literally takes your breath away.

There's really nothing I can write to do it justice.

I went up the Empire State building and had an amazing experience.

Tom Hanks did NOT show up though - though these days that's probably a good thing, he's kinda old.
